Erasing Email Addresses in Gmail

Every time I send an email in gmail my phone saves the address. Many are not needed or wanted. How do I erase email addresses in gmail?.

I usually do it from my PC cuz it's faster. Go to contacts, select the contacts you want to remove and find the delete function under "more actions" at the top of the screen.

This can be disabled in your gmail settings on the pc... I had same problem. I had like a ungodly amount of saved addys ...
