Endless Boot Loop (Incredible 2) - HELP!!!

Help!!! I've had my Incredible 2 for about a week and a half now, and I've noticed it randomly rebooting occasionally... however, tonight, it's gotten into an endless boot loop and won't stop. It does the white HTC splash screen, then the animation, then the red eye... then repeats. Over and over again. I've taken the battery out but that didn't make the problem go away.

I've been searching through the site and can't seem to find anything that will help me fix the problem.

This is a stock phone, and I didn't install any new apps. Please help.

If you really haven't modified the phone at all, bring it back to Verizon.

Or...

Hold down the power button to power it completely off

Power it on while holding the volume down button

It should load into the hboot, and do a factory reset

I've done the factory reset and it has not helped at all.

I bought the phone from an online retailer, so I think I have to get a replacement through them.

yeah that's definitely not right - besides the compass issue, i haven't read of a single problem with this phone, nor experienced it
