email set up

just came over from BB . 5 years on BB love android os..
question though i have 2 gmail accounts config under the gmail app. do i need to also have these under the other email app? i have looked here several times and did a search.. any help would be greatly apprec

If I understand what you are asking, quick answer is No, you don't have to use the native email app for Gmail. You can just use the gmail app and it will notify you all the same when you have mail. However, if you want to have all your email "under one roof" I believe you can still set it up in the email app. Just as far as I know...

Look at it like this.

The Gmail app is for any and all Gmail.

The email app is for anything BUT Gmail.



I currently have a gmail account on the gmail one, and my hotmail account on the email app, works just like my old BB.

I was a Crackberry fanatic for sure, and now I laugh at the idea of them.
