easytether fail to download on laptop

i am trying to run this system. But when i try dowloading the file to my laptop. it says easy tether requires ervice pack 1 or above for windows vista. and ive downloaded all the updates that come out, i even checked for new updates and still nothing.
someone have this problem or know if i might be doing something wrong?

I dont have any experince with easytether, have you tried PDAnet?
