Another Easytether Connection Problem Question...

A search didn't find what I need so maybe someone can help.

I've been using ET for quite a while on 2 different laptops and it's been working great, all of a sudden it quits on both of them. Now when I try to connect I get a "Connection Failed - cannot reach the smartphone side service - Enable Easytether --> USB on your smartphone". Sounds pretty simple but I'm missing something. I've checked everything on my phone and as far as I can see it's all setup correctly. I haven't changed anything so I don't know what happened for it to start this. Step by step, how do I verify the ET-->USB setting? I just want to be sure I'm looking at the right info. Any suggestions? Thanks

I have had that issue also and the only thing I could do to fix it was to uninstall the Easy tether app and reinstall

On the phone or pc? I was thinking about doing that but I can't get to the saved file, I'll have to buy it again to download it but that's no big deal. Thanks

You need to open the ET app, then verify "USB" is checked.

You only have to buy an app once, as long as you use the same gmail account to reinstall. All paid apps stay with the account not the device.
