e-mail thread gets deleted on others' replies

I receive an email. I reply and the reply contains my response and the original email. Someone responds to my email and the only thing I'm left with is their response (not the original email, not my reply, not the thread on their response).
Using an LG Ally Droid, Outlook, comcast.net email address.

Outlook shouldn't matter since you should set your e-mail up on your Droid using Comcast's set up.
