DX or D2?

I am coming from an iPhone 4 and ATassT and I'm getting a droid.

But I don't know which one to get.

Tell me which one you bought. And why.

Thanks! dancedroid

Droid2 because of the physical keyboard and also I don't watch movies on my phone much so why buy a 4.3in screen?

If you prefer a physical keyboard, go for the 2 which I have.
If you stream a lot of crap like movies etc.., go for the X.

Sorry, just really excited to get my droid and to get rid of the iphone.

Now to research is Netflix is on the droid yet! Any one know?

you have 30 days I suggest use it, try it both and see what u like. I too came from an iphone3gs. Both the DX and D2 runs the same basic operating system. The dx is larger and offers a hdmi to watch videos through tv. But the d2 is a more polished version of the operating system with a nice physical keyboard. You can have 10 people and all 10 may feel different. So go to vzw corporate store and play with them both and see what u like.

Neither. They weren't available when I purchased.

Rather than taking the shotgun approach and polling everyone else you should really post your needs/wants to allow us to make suggestions that are directly relevant to you. You can ask for opinions all day and not have a suitable answer for you if the people responding don't have needs/wants that are in line with your own.

I chose the DX over the D2 mainly because of the screen... I don't watch a lot of content on mine either, but with the large screen, it kind of negates the need for a keyboard. I think I made the right choice.

I'll have to agree with nc_biscuit. I had a D1, and now my wife has it. I went with the DX instead of the D2 since I found myself hardly using the hard keyboard on the D1 after I'd had it for a few months. The larger screen on the DX makes using the onscreen keyboard pretty nice.

Only thing I miss about my D1 is all of the custom ROMS and kernels available due to the unlocked bootloader. :p

While your at the store you should also look at the samsung fascinate. It's pretty sweet and best buy will have a white version for sale this weekend.
