I've dropped my D2 A955 numerous times on the soft carpet. No big deal. Couple times on gravel ground, no scratches or problems.
But my worst incident was while I was working with the natural gas drilling company and had my phone in my hand since I was texting my girlfriend and an explosion occurred and startled all of us. It caused me to drop my phone and run for my life, like most people were doing. Luckily, it was only a minor fire explosion and I ran back to get my phone and noticed someone had stepped on it since there was a muddy boot imprint on it. No scratches, chipped edges or internal problems.
This phone sure is tough!
