droid3 touch screen issues

Last night my touch screen quit working, screen still comes on but no touch sensing.....keyboard still functions but cant get into settings I tried factory resetting through the droid rom management thing but still cant set up because screen doesnt recognize touch.....anybody got anything to try....just waiting now for verizon to open to go there

Can you get into recovery? (Power up while holding the X key, then press both volume up and down at the same time).

If so you could try clearing caches first and if that doesn't work you could try a factory reset. If it doesn't work, Verizon store.

This may be far fetched, but I notice sometimes when it's humid or if hands are sweaty, the screen can be very unresponsive. I'm sure you already knew that, but I thought I'd throw that out there just in case
