Droid2 use same charger as Droid 1

My car mount is the case/combo one. will the D2 not fit in it?

The droid 2 car dock and desk cradle are backwards compatible, meaning d1 will work with them, but, d2 will not work in d1 accessories, other than the universals such as battery and charger and I do believe the battery cover. Cases wont fit from d1 to d2 either.
