Droid2 Keyboard back light random on/off on gingerbread

I recently installed the Droid 2 Gingerbread leak from TBH, successfully installed, except the keyboard light turns off here and there... is there a know fix to this? I did not find anything on the forums...

Its a known problem with that rom. Download zombiestomp, he seemed to fix that

I have the same issue. I have seen other threads that list this problem, and say that having the auto dimming setting OFF helps to fix it, but have had no luck with that. Also have downloaded a couple of backlight control apps.. nada. If anyone knows of a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated!
