Droid1 and Droid2 Car Dock

Hello to all.

I need to know something. Is the car dock for the D1 the same as the D2?
If its not the same will the D1 car dock work for the D2?

I havent bought one as of yet, but i was seriously thinking about doing so to eliminate the GPS that is in my window, Please help me out here.

The Droid 1 dock uses the Droid 1's bottom "chin" to attach it. Seeing as on the Droid 2 this has been rounded off, I don't think they are the same.

The Droid 2 car dock fits the Droid 2 with a case, without a case and also the Droid 1. It comes with the adapters in the box along with an audio cable. You have to use your own charger though.

off hand would you have to know what case fits with the mount? I have the car mount and my case does not fit in it. A picture would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
