Droid X2 Tester

Need something tested on the X2 but don't want or have time to do if yourself? Contact me, I have no problem testing any and all tweaks for the better of this device. Im very experienced at fixing my phone so don't worry about any troubles it might cause jus tell me what to do!

Sincerely,
DX2 Tester

Did you try my 3G TurboCharger and Kick Ass Kernel Tweaks?
I think most DX2 users got boot loops with the kernel script and a few had wifi not working.

Did either of these happen to you?

If you did get the bootloop using the kernel script, I'd like to sort out the kernel thing first so can you check this post xda-developers - View Single Post - Unleash your X2 with V6_SuperCharger and try that attached trim4 file?

But this is only if the kernelupdate2 would give you a bootloop. If that script works for you then no need to bother :p

Im not home right now but when I am il make a back up n try it, but I only have the second updated 3g and kernel tweaks so if you can give me the links for the exact tweaks you want that would be appreciated:D

I Got Bootloops Zep, But I Think We Already Talked About That Over At XDA.

I'll be testing these extensively, Zep. I plan on using them within my next ROM. I'll let you know of any discoveries I make.

Ok Zep so I just ran 3g turbo and kernel tweaks that I already have on my sdcard and (assuming they applied correctly) my phone seems fine so far, no reboots

Check build.prop to see if entried got added to the bottom...

Wifi works?

Also, which kernel script did you run?
The update 2 is the one that caused bootloops

You can check if noop is being used by putting this in terminal:

cat /sys/block/*/queue/scheduler

If noop is used, you'd see lines with [noop] and the other things like cfq are unused but available io schedulers

Yep... I linked to where we left off.. LOL

wifi is working yes but no im not running the one you gave me a link for it wouldnt let me download via my phone but im about to get it from my computer so hold up.

The one on your phone that you ran was it update 2?
If you ran update 2 and you didnt bootloop, then the testing ones won't bootloop either...

Trying to get at least 2 io scheduling tweaks to work for users that bootlooped with update 2

alright i just downloaded and ran the kernel script you gave me a link for and my phone just booted up
and rebooted and rebooted

ah.. that trimmmed 4 file?

ok.. can you delete from the install file the lines that lines that I say in that post:

for i in /sys/block/*/queue/scheduler;
do
echo "noop" > \$i;
done;

Reapply the kernel tweak and see if she boots

If it does, then at least you get the rotational device tweak

Zepp, the update 2 is what I have been running a couple days now without issues
