I originally posted this to "Android Forums" and didnt get an answer so I found this site, which i'm sure will be more specific to my kind of phone:
A couple of nights ago I dropped my Droid X2 (Was in an Otterbox) on the sidewalk and it still worked fine, but 30 minutes later I changed batteries (didnt power off phone, just took battery out) and all I got was a black screen. After messing with it a while, I realized in the light I could see the screen was on and working, but without the backlight.
My question is:
Can I change just the backlight? Or is it soldered into the lcd panel? Also, if it can be replaced, where can you find just a backlight?
I have to use my phone for work on an everyday basis and need to come up with a solution. Thanks in advance!
