Droid X Root

I've recently got a free droid X from a friend and i plan to use it like an ipod since I am currently using a Droid RAZR as my main phone, and it has issues with the headphone jack and speaker.

Is there a way to root the X without burning cds? I got my RAZR on root with just simple software downloads and putting it on the phone, so is there a similar way? I've tried looking around on google and all i find is burning cds to do it.

What CDs do you need to burn? The X used to have a one click root, very quick and easy.
