Droid x issues

Hey guys,
My name is erin and i have a droid x phone through verizon. I'm not exactly a genius when it comes to fixing some of the problems i have with my phone so i thought i would create an account in the hopes that i could get some useful info from people more tech savvy than myself! My big problem with my phone right now is that i just moved to a very rural area (closest tower is five miles) and i get terrible reception in my house. I use pda net for my internet service which usually wont give me any grief as long as my phone is sitting next to a certain window when i use pda net. However, my phone call reception is terrible just about everywhere in my house. I would like to use my phone where ever i want in my house! I've been looking into a signal booster but haven't heard very good things from people trying to use them in rural areas. SO, if anyone has a suggestion i would love to hear it!
Thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forum Erin!

I have not dealt with a network extender devices (thought about it once but VZW put a tower up a 1/4 mile from my house)...hopefully you will get some advice, good luck!!

Welcome! I had the sane problem as you and the network extender is your answer if you have cable service. It connects to the internet through your modem. Its 3g only so that's the downside. Call Verizon to order. Its a couple hundred dollars, a one time fee, there's no monthly fee. If you're a good customer they will give you for free but you have to haggle. Tell then your thinking if jumping ship and going to another carrier. Good luck
