Droid x identifying as ipod touch

I upgraded to gingerbread a couple of weeks ago and so far I am happy with it. Something g strange started happening today though. I have noticed that when I use some apps (Facebook specifically) the interface is that if an hood touch. Even the selection bars are the same tumbler. I thought that an update had been done so I didn't think much of it until I went to google apps in dolphin and it was all the ills interface. I checked my user agent in dolphin and it is set to android. I am not sure where to look to see what has changed.

Any ideas where I should be looking?

Question, how did you upgrade to gingerbread? Do you have to root? Excuse me for the off topic question.

I did not root. I received it ota doing a check for phone updates.
