Droid X Getting slow and lost root. Help?

Hi guys, i rooted my phone recently with the doroot method, but Motorola released an update that unrooted it. I changed the file name for city ID.bak and have lost root access to change it back to .apk. So now the update will not install, and i have no root access. any ideas? Also my phone has been running very slow after this. If you guys have any ideas please could you share? THanks a bunch

Use z4 root. Find it on google as it is no longer in the market or it might be check just to make sure. And if it slow try clearing up your cache on your fone. I currently use cache cleaner ng.
