For real. I hate having to look for this if noone has posted for a few days. STICKY! STICKY!

Will get to some bootlogos friday night and this weekend. I am getting FiOS installed Saturday.

@ showstoppa - if you scroll through this thread you'll see where chkmate gave me a link to "how to create boot logos" check that out. Its pretty fool proof. I know it by heart now lol.

Yup. And that walkthrough w/pics was put together by Army Dude. The one who just commented on the 93,000 hits. Without him I wouldn't have been able to keep this thread going like I did. Yay!

Hey, I would appreciate if you could give me a hand with my boot animation task... I have been trying to use the Droid Pro boot animation (HERE>> MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service ) with my ApeX 1.4.1 THX sound.

I have tried every way possible editing the desc file to route and enable the sound, etc... End up with either the sound and a black screen or no sound and the DP boot animation.

Any ideas??

What compression utility are you using? Just downloading your file and setting it as my boot, I was able to see the images... obviously without sound. After extracting the files, and re-zipping using 7zip with "Store", it is just a black screen. Once I get past this issue, I might be able to get this working. I have a couple of ideas to try, just not sure why it is blank after making no changes and just re-zipping the folder.

Yep, dropping it in as is works perfect. I unzipped it in Root Explorer, edited the desc file from s droid.ogg to the file from apex.mp3. Zipped it back up using Root Explorer... Moved the apex.mp3 file to the proper folder.

When I boot I hear the sound but I have a Black Screen.

Okay, after I read your response it clicked... I just used the current desc.txt from the Droid Pro logo, converted the apex.mp3 to droid.ogg, placed it in the system/media folder and we have lift off.

Droid Pro Boot Animation W/ ApeX(THX) Boot Sound.

I will volunteer if you guys think that would be helpful but I wouldn't be able to do it til tonight sometime... (and I can't promise to keep it updated nonstop but would try to at least a few times a week) I just think it would be nice to have a library of boot logos for people to browse through. They might get inspiration for there own or use one that's already made.

Actually when JRummy put out his new boot logo changer app thread I went through and lined up about 40-50 in a row. Then he never updated his damns app. I was so mad. That much uploading takes some time. And unless you have MOD rights to keep the thread closed till you get everything set people start posting. I have MOD rights in the DarkSlide ROM section and would be willing to start up a "look and download only" thread. But I would have to ask a Admin or true Mod for permission to do it here or there.

And yes it would be nice to have a library of logos. You don't know how many times someone has had me make something that is already in this thread. But there are too many pages for one person to look through.

Now...instead of deleting the post where I offered to do something, I will insert foot and say this. Midgetgrimm has kind of taken over in this thread in continuing to make logo's for people. One reason being I have offered a LOT of time in doing these for people. I stepped aside because it was time for me too. Long explanation turned short, I would hate to put a ton of time into uploading the couple hundred logos I have on my computer and then the thread die out. It may not, but it could. With more devices being release with different resolutions, these wont be compatible.

So if someone can offer a quick way to take all the files I have and do this, I would be more than happy to get them to you. If not it would take me a while to do it a little at a time. And of course I would need permission.

I don't mind helping out but, to make a thread with thumbnails and attachments would take quite a few hours of repetitive clicking, plus uploading all the pics to an IMG source. I would say just request it, it doesn't take me that long to throw it together and post it.

@Midgetgrimm, or anyone who is interested. Below is a link to a zip of every boot logo I have

saved, made or used. Most of them I made folders for which contain the 480x182 picture of

each logo and the zip to go with it. Some of the names are dumb, but they were names that I could

recognize when I needed it. There is a couple hundred in there. A lot of them, like the ones started

on page 30 of this thread were designed by me. So if someone does start a thread I would appreciate
