Droid X - Built in GRADUAL alarm no longer working (nor an option)

I noticed a few days ago that my alarm went to full volume (that will wake you up fast). For months I had it set on the gradual alarm, and now I see it's not even an option!

This also occurred on my wife's phone.

Any thoughts/ideas?
