Droid x and pdanet-- need help

Ive tried for past three hours to get my droid x to thether to my laptop to use pdanet with no sucess... My droid connects fine... When i hook to cpu it doesnt even pick up the phone... Need help...

Is usb debugging enabled on your phone if not it wont work. Hope this helps.

Anyone ever have to download the motorola droid usb driver file on their cpu to get droid x to connect

I just installed the motohelper from motorola and all works... If i unistall it the droid x will not connect to cpu... Weird...

Sweet yea that was my next thing. A pc will show its connected but don't recognize it, have to have the driver to pick up the phone. Cool glad you fig it out. Keep that anyway bc if you decide to root if you already haven't, you will need that to pick up the phone if you install a rom and brick your phone. To sbf it back to like it was when it come out of the box you'll need that.

Maybe not that same driver but same concept on the pc picking up the phone on usb drive
