Droid X and Mac? Help.

when I plug my DX into my Mac, I scroll down the notification bar on my DX and select USB mass storage, but instead of recognizing the phone as No Name like I have previously read, my computer recognizes it as MOTOROLA and this file is in Windows format instead of Mac format.

Is there any way to fix this because I am about two second away from throwing my phone across the room.
