droid x and lock pattern quesion

I like having a lock patern on my droid x...but I find it really annoying that I have to slide to unlock my phone just to get to the actual lock screen...is there a way I can skip the first lock screen in order to get to the lock pattern?

That's so rediculous, I feel as if I have to unlock my phone twice just to get to my homescreen...

I have made a couple posts in different threads, and made my own thread, and multiple people are having this issue. I too liked having just the pattern unlock pre update, but now doing both slide and pattern was just annoying. So I put the lock screen to none, which I still dont like because an accidental hit on a button brings up my home screen, but id rather take that change then to do multiple things to unlock my phone.
