Hi all! Just got my Droid 2 global a few weeks ago, upgraded from a samsung convoy, and holy crap this phone is awesome! I haven't even begun to use it like it was meant to be used and I already don't see any way possible I'd go back to anything else!

sorry for delay. im working. Lol... did u already install FB? uninstall it, reinstall and there should've been a msg asking if u wanna sync contacts

yeah, fb has been installed since I got the phone 3 weeks ago, and uploaded all my contacts at that point. This is a new friend. Are you saying that every time I make a new friend on fb I have to completely uninstall and re install the app? I just looked and realized that a friend request I accepted a few weeks ago, after already putting fb on my phone, shows up under fb contacts. But the friend I made yesterday I can't get to come up under my fb contacts in my phone at all.

Try going to there profile through the app, clicking on different things related to them. I'm not to sure if that'll work, but it's how I get photos of my contacts to update.

I tried a few things, one being tapping on their profile pic through the app and supposedly you can add them to contacts that way, but tapping on their pic just opens their profile. I also added their email address to the phone contact thinking it may sync, but doesn't work that way either. I can't even get my "fb contacts" to recognize them from facebook. Is there a way to refresh facebook or log out of my app and log back in without uninstalling it?

If you already added the person on FaceBook, but you cant get their info to show on your phone, then what you need to do is go in under Accounts, and make sure you sync FaceBook...you can do that manually or have it set to do it on its own occasionally...

I've been all over my "accounts" section of my phone. The only options I have are "add account," "picture source," and if I click on the facebook account, it takes me my login screen and gives me the options of "ok," "cancel," and "remove account." If I hit ok, it takes me back to the main accounts screen displaying the different accounts on the phone.

Problem solved anyway. Took my phone outta my pocket after dinner and txt the person, her pic is attached to her in the txt message window and she shows up under "fb contacts." Maybe it's a 24hr period or something? We became friends just about exactly 24 hours ago.
