Can you provide us with a little more information? Did you update your device OTA (over the air) or a different method? Did your device have at least 40-50% charge before you took this update? Did you perform a factory reset after the update? (It's not required but is recommended) How long after you took the update did you start to experience these problems?
As for the charging issue: Have you tried using a different charging cable? If your device has a removable battery you might try powering down your phone and removing the battery for 10 min, then try again.

Join the club. I place a call and when I go to hang up its a 50/50 shot it will be in some other setting. Then I have to literally go and manually hang up via hitting the home button and so on. Real pain in the rear. Oh well, gonna upgrade sooner than later, getting to the point I wish I just had my LGVX11000 back again.
