Alright, so my phone did the random reboot thing that people have been complaining about today. I keep my phone on my desk and on silent, because Handcent brightens the screen when I get a text. Unfortunately, the DROID sound plays on a reboot, regardless of the settings. I saw in another thread to try muting the media volume. This didn't work.

Other suggestions?

EDIT:
Without rooting

Search on posts by jhumbo. I recently posted some instructions. Basically I rooted with Z4root, then renamed the file and then I unrooted after that.
