Droid Razr Maxx HD native Email client - Limit amount of emails to date.

Hello all,

Is it possible to limit the amount of email the app saves by either number, or length of time?


I have nearly a years full of emails on my phone and I feel it slows it down significantly. The only way I have found to remove them is to manually delete.

I have had this feature on every smart phone until this one.

I believe this is still possible. When you are viewing your Inbox, select Menu ~ Folder Options ~Days To Sync. You can then select All, One Month, etc. Hope that helps out.

I do not have those options on my email program. I did have them on my Droid Incredible. But not on my RAZR Maxx.

Correct. Stock email app.

Just delete them. Nothing in settings or any other way. Yes, they are slowing your phone down since they are taking up memory.

I think those settings depend on the type of account, POP 3, Exchange, etc. One of my accounts has that setting & the other does not.

I have two email accounts synced with the mail app and years of messages and it does not seem to slow my phone down.
