Droid RAZR is creating 2 wifi connections and causing problems with other devices

I have an original Droid RAZR and I've been continuing to have problems when I turn on wifi on the phone. I've been trying to debug it for a while, and I noticed that when I turn on wifi on the phone there are 2 connections being created to my router. One of the names that shows up in the router is something like Android-sfdlsfs but there is a second called "WORKGROUP". I have no idea what this second connection is. I was thinking it had something to do with file sharing but I've never attempted to set it up and I've never turned on hotspot on the phone. Does anyone have any ideas? It's gotten to the point where I leave wifi off on my phone and it's really frustrating. Perhaps this second connection is normal and there is another reason why I'm having this problem.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steven
