droid razr hd wont root

I've tried 2 different root methods with no go one was motochopper and the other was metal something they all loaded but said root failed when ran what am I doing wrong running stock RAZR HD version 9.20.1926xt

I was unable to root my phone after the 4.1.2 update but this worked for me.

OK so I tried motochopper 1.3 ran it and it says successfully unlocked bootloader and rooted phone but no change on phones fast boot menu

Sorry, I'm having the same problem. Rooted now but still have a locked bootloader.
I'm still looking for a method to unlock the bootloader.
I'll post here if I find a way, please do the same if you find a way.
Sorry I could only get you half way there.

Yeah motochopper 1.3 got me the root access but still have a locked boot loader myself

Same here.
I read in another forum that the ota after the 4.1.2 upgrade is preventing the bootloader from unlocking.
