Droid Bleeding

I dropped my phone in the wet grass last weekend, and while the phone is still working and the WD stickers weren't tripped, the screen is all sorts of messed up. The phone seemed to have liquid piled up in one corner, and now it is sort of scattered and the display has random dark spots throughout. Is there any way to fix this? I read the thread on getting a wet phone, will using desiccant fix this? Any recommendations? Thanks for the help guys.

A desiccant will work good - even those pellets they put in new shoes and other packaging - some will say rice but it has a lot of residue incorporated with it and can cause unwanted build up

That would be my guess - although I have never dealt with this kind of issue personally, I have read about it many times -

Ive been toying with the idea of sticking a phone in a stocking and burying it in a bag of kitty litter for a couple days. The stocking "should" keep the dust to a minimum, and should prevent scratches.

Anyone want to give me a link to what they would use? I just searched desiccant on amazon but I don't know if I want just these little packages or one of these gel filled cases.

The stuff didn't really help with my screen much, and the screen has been acting up more than ever. Half the time the screen works fine, the other half it just goes berserk at any touch of the screen whatsoever. Maybe this is just a bad unit? I got this one through Asurion and it has been trouble since day one, but my insurance is up with them and I don't know if they'll do anything about it.
