"Use a wired headset without the interruption of a high pitched tone."

Looks like they have a fix for the noise! Sweet!

Anyone know if this is the same as the leaked one a month ago? Cuz they've also leaked 5.6.893 & 5.7.893

So did this fix the camera? I may have missed it, but if not, I think that's one of the things most people were waiting for!

I used Pete's Root Tool to root, installed ClockworkMod Bootstrap and ClockworkMd Recovery from Rom Manager. Do I need to un-root to get the updates and then hope I can root again?

Last I heard, any new updates will break and patch root exploit, so I wouldn't update until you know it's safe.

I know, but P3Droid knows his stuff... and if he posted the get back on the upgrade path thread, I'm 99.98% sure it will work.

Edit: his also re-flashes the webtop partition back to stock

Well it's definitely worth a shot if the update doesnt work on 5.7.893
