Damn I like that. What are the specs on this anyone know? Could this be the alternative to those who want the Droid Bionic but still want a keyboard? I like the shape and design of it and everything and am interested to hear more. Nevermind I read the specs myself. AWESOME phone, I want it!

I'm not thrilled about the fact that you can't swap out batteries with this phone, however I did notice that it comes with a tool to remove the back of it so you can get to the microSD and 4G-SIM card so maybe you can still get to the battery that way.. But since my OG Droid 1 is due for retirement I might get the Droid 4 regardless. The only other thing that will be a major hindrance for me is the bootloader which I'm sure will be locked. For my purposes I need iptables enabled in the kernel which is difficult to achieve with a locked bootloader. Other than that I think the Droid 4 has my vote:

I didn't even notice it doesn't have a removable battery. That sucks that's a big down fall to me too...

i agree with you. i would like to see if there is still a way to get to the battery somehow. if there isnt a removeable battery, i dont think i will be getting this phone. i still have my OG droid (rooted) and i love everything about it. i really dont know know what phone i want, but as ling as it has a slide out keyboard.

4G Radio and no way to swap in a extended battery means lots of 4G off time or lots of charging.

Looks sexy otherwise, but I'll stick to my D3 Thank you very much!

I am going to punch myself in the face if it turns out I like this phone. I decided to stick with my Razr because I have not liked any of these keyboards on any of the Droid phones. But that one looks pretty nice from the pictures, I am hoping it will be a let down so I don't feel stupid for keeping the Razr.

i grabbed the Razr on wednesay(the 23rd), I'm happy with it. Waiting for the D4 would have been pointless. While I love the idea of having a physical keyboard, I have not used the phone on my D1 in many many months. And even though i have had the Razr for only a week, the battery life isnt too bad (keep LTE turned off unless im using it). One day i got 20+ with little internet use and lots of texting, and i was still at 50%. As for being without a battery, it is alright for now. Haven't had to use the volume+power to hard reset it, but people have confirmed that it works. we shall see.

I would have liked to see it launch with ICS, now that google and Moto have merged.

Except they aren't quite merged yet, and even at that, there wont be ANY phones launching with ICS before February (At least) aside from the Nexus.
