Droid #3, now have terrible reception?

So Verizon just sent me my 3rd Droid under warranty, and it gets HORRIBLE reception.
My first two always had 3g every day at work and at home...and now with the new phone it goes in and out of 3g...and also just standard signal.
I will show no bars and 1x for data all the time now, which it never did before.
Any suggestions on something I can do myself, or is another trip to Verizon in order?

You can try updating your PRL and your Roaming Capabilities

I did that on Friday when I got the phone and it still has terrible reception.
Kist did it again hoping for the best...but I'm open to other suggestions.

Battery life also seems to suck w/ this replacement, too.
