Droid 2 Ringtone Import Issue?

Quanius

New Member
I have read a dozen different postings on this and cannot see my downloaded ringtone mp3's in the Ringtone list of choices.

Placed the file in:
/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones

I have 2 MP3's in that folder and neither will appear in my list of factory shipped ringtones.

I rebooted the phone.. Any ideas?

I placed them in the sd card folder, then:

Went to the music application
Located the mp3
Played it
Pushed the menu button
Selected "Use as ringtone"

Hope that works for you.

That works. Thank you! I was thinking there would be a more direct way to dump files into a ringtone folder structure which the older droids seemed to work by.

Also get the app ringdroid, its awesome. You can select any mp3 on your card as a ringtone and choose which timeframe you want to set it.

Yes.. I did download it.. Looks like you just let Droid download and dump these files wherever it wants and it knows where the music is and then using music and third party apps to pull it into the ringtone database. A slight change to where prior droid models opperated.
