Droid 2 music problem

OK so the other day listening to some tunes and everything was good but then the next morning I plugged in my headphones it started playing but it sounded far away almost distorted and it wasn't my headphones because I tested them on my iPod and it was fine can someone tell what's wrong with my phone?

Does the music play normally without the headphones? If so, ur headphone jack is hosed. This happened to two of my iPod's which apple would not fix and is the main reason I do not have an iPhone.

Really? Damn I really love my music and is that something that can't be fixed or something Verizon won't fix?
