Droid 2 Crashing / Glitching / Rebooting Behavior

My (one week old!) D2 has been seriously "acting up" in the past couple days, and I'm curious if anybody else has seen similar issues. I'm inclined to think it's a hardware issue, but I don't want to jump to conclusions just yet. My phone is currently unbootable due to a failed attempt to load a ROM, but the problems preceeded that.

What I'm seeing:

1. While using (or idle) the screen will freeze. It stays frozen until the power button is pressed. The screen will then go dark. If I press the power button again, the screen will come back on, the picture will fade to black, and the screen will remain on but totally black. If I let it sit, it will eventually come back to the lockscreen, but will freeze again shortly unless I power cycle.

2. On three occassions, I saw major glitching and artifacting on the display -- the display would shake and judder and noise patches would overlay parts of the screen. On one occasion, these artifacts even occured during the boot screen after power cycling the device.

3. As of today, I had zero response from the GPS.

These issues occurred while running Liberty 1.5, but I believe the screen glitching may have occurred once while running Fission before I switched the Liberty yesterday.

I think you should revert back to your original backup before you added the theme and see if that resolves your issue first.

That's my first plan. I won't have access to a PC to do a restore until tonight, but I'll give that a try. Just curious if anybody else has experienced these issues since they seem different from the common resetting issues I see reported.
