What on earth is this file? It just seems to multiply uninhibited in the download folder of sdcard. There's like 100 of them! I'd like to just delete them as a whole, but I'd like to make sure I'm not losing data that I somehow need. Any input??

This happens when the market craps out and doesn't install or updates apps correctly. Instead, for some unknown reason, it saves the file that was downloaded and puts them in the download folder. I would expect that you wouldn't need to redownload the app because it saves it on your sd card, but it does it anyway. Anyway, back to the point, your phone will be fine if you delete these files. I love android but I really hate the market because of this.

AWESOME! Thanks for that input! It is annoying to have to go in and delete these so often, but worth it for all of the other benefits of android...
