Downloaded file to ring tone ?

I downloaded an audio file to my sd card. It's there and plays. How do I make this audio file my ring tone?

Use a file manager like Astro to view the file on your SD card. Long press on the file name and select Music Options. Select Ringtone.

If you just want to use a segment of the file as your ringtome try the RingDroid app.

I suggest moving it into the Ringtones folder (create if you don't have one) on your SD card.

Downloaded Ring Tone missing

I purchased a ringtone when I bought Droid (Motorola) and then in one of my many attempts to get more battery life I reset phone (Verizon said necessary). Now Ringtone is gone and I can't view contents on SD Card?

Suggestions?
