Download and install app, insufficient space

Im sure this has been answered before but i could not find a thread for it. Thanks in advance

Droid X
Anything i download from market, after 99% installing it says insufficient space/storage

I got to storage settings

Total space 14.83gb
Available space 14.5gb

Application storage
6.07gb

Ive tried shutting down the phone and trying again, same thing.
Anyone know whats going on?

It seems you have maxed out your internal storage on the phone. I think the Droid X has 6gb of intrenal storage. Try going into menu>settings>applications and finding some apps that you could move to your SD card, which seems pretty empty by the numbers you wrote.

No it says i have 6.1gb available space. I have hardly any apps installed but i did try removing a few and still having the same problem.

Do you have it set to save apps in your sd card? Maybe your sd is full?

Try clearing your market cache abd try again.also I read removing sd card and re inserting helped a few people

If neither of those work try booting into clockwork recovery and wiping cache partition

I got it working. I was reading another thread and tried what they said to do. They suggested uninstalling market updates and clearing market cache. I did both and one of those worked. Thanks for the help
