This website Studentrate seems to offer a student discount on Verizon StudentRate - Deal / Verizon Wireless Student Discounts . It's only 10% but it's better thank nothing if your school doesn't offer any

i was able to get the full discount. so i don't think it's like sprint at all

this is pretty cool. i just signed up for studentrate.
i couldn't sign up before b/c i wasn't a student but now they allow you to sign up even if you don't have an .edu acct
