Does Skype video in (and you using only voice out) crash your phone?

Hi all, I am non-rooted, with all the updates. My mom calls me with video, and I see there is no way to not accept video in the Skype app. So I answer, and am just talking to her right? Well, in less than a minute, she can't hear me, audio is choppy, and then the phone freezes up for a good long while, though I don't have to pull the battery. I see the HTC loading screen and the phone eventually resets.

Does this happen to other people? I don't have much else installed. I am on 4G.

It doesn't crash my phone; it just plain doesn't work on my phone. It always says that its unable to login at the moment. Rare is the time that it actually works. I'm rooted with the uber bamf newest 1.0-something ROM.
