Do You Have Insurance for Your Droid???

i've always bought insurance, but this new $89 deductible is pretty pricey that i don't think i want it. maybe the first yr, but after that you can get a brand new phone for $199 instead of $89 for a refurbish phone.

no insurance. asurion is 90 deductible plus 6/month? that is just way too much, i'd need to have like a 50% chance of breaking the phone for it to be worth it. 40/yr through state farm is close to being worthwhile, and i'm considering getting that for a year.

After an incident jumping in a pool with my LG Dare in my pocket without thinking, getting insurance was a no brainer. (No pun intended)

No insurance, but then I also avoid any negative comments towards those who do insure products.

However, insurance is no longer sold to protect products anymore. It is to provide state of mind, and that is why the industry is booming.

No insurance. Never had it on any of my phones. My first three phones I never had a problem. My LG VX8550 was replaced three times under warranty, but again no insurance. My first Droid was replaced under warranty after I bricked it. They sent me a brand new one (not a "like-new" replacement) which was actually surprising. Funniest thing about it was I bricked that one doing a simple framework-res change. Since then I've changed ROM's about 5 times, changed bootanimations, framework-res and swapped out practically every standard .apk there is with no worries.

p.s - I owe it all to Nandroid.

and btw, i wasn't meaning to crack on people who got the insurance. after reading on here that a lot of people do have it, i have been pretty paranoid. just for me that peace of mind isn't worth it. but then again i'm a poker player and insurance being -ev makes me avoid it.

I didn't get the insurance, but now am wondering if I should have. Are you able to sign up for insurance at anytime?

After the crappy LG Touch phone that broke or died 3x over, I opted for the insurance on the Droid.

I never had ins on a cell phone. But these new toys are "telephones second" and little gadget computers with brains and delicate gizmos or what ever... Until they make'em tough, like my ole Casio G'Zone, I'll keep the insurance.

The Mclaren (was the defending champ for fastest car)..so you say f*ck Mclaren and you buy the new Bugatti Veyron..Would you insure that? considering i feel 400+ is expecccciiiiivvveee like top of the line for a phone.

Uhm nuff said?

I've never had it on any of my phones before but since I got my Droid for 100.00 with 100.00 rebate I figured the 109.00 was a small price to pay for two year coverage on a 600.00 phone in my personal opinion...
