Direct Dial and Direct Text???

My Droid had short cuts for direct dial and direct texting. I cannot find them on my new Droid X. Apparently they have been removed? Correct?

I used them in conjunction with Launcher Pro. On the dock, a press would start a text and a swipe would call the came person. I REALLY liked that. Slick.

Is there an app that allows direct texting and dialing or is hiding in the "X" somewhere
