Did my Droid automatically update to 2.2 Froyo?

Last night I noticed my Droid said it was trying to automatically update. If I clicked OK it would reboot and I wouldn't be able to use the Droid during the update. So, I clicked OK -- it rebooted then an update screen came on --then I had a screen come up with a yellow triangle and an exclamation mark inside that triangle. That screen stayed on for a very long time -- hours. So, I pushed the power key and my home screen came on -- only it looks different -- with a transparent Phone button and transparent Browser button at the bottom!

Also, when I turn the phone on it's side to put it in it's night stand -- the home screen picture now stays in the backdround. Before this update the background was blank.

Was this an automatic 2.2 Froyo update?

By the way, I'm in Oregon.

Hit menu > settings > about phone and see what is says under Android version
