My microsoft outlook email is synced to my driod. Is there a way to delete the email on my phone, without it deleting the email in my outlook? Appreciate any forthcoming replies.
First off :welcome:to the forum. To delete emails off your phone and not off your computer, go into your email program, open the email account (if you have more than one email address on your phone, choose one at a time) then go to menu > settings (may have to hit "more" to see settings) > account settings > scroll down to where it says "when I delete a message..." hit the arrow next to that and choose what you would like the app to do. I have mine set a "Mark as read on server".
Hi everyone, I have Droid X. Former BB user. I have the same issue, as I cannot figure out how to have my deleted messages in email account on my X to be reflected in the actual email account. For example, I have .net account. On the X , in account settings all I see is"when I delete message", and only provides me option of how long to leave messages on my phone, not as you described. I am assuming what you described is for corporate/ exchange email accounts only? Sorry, if this was addressed before. Any option for pop email accounts?
I'm not real familiar with the X but I would believe that you may be abel to long press the tab and see if other options appear or look for an expunge option.
I use the K9 email app (free in market)for my Gmail and when I delete an email on my phone it is deleted in my Gmail.
