delete google search bar?

can i get rid of the google search bar? i notice some of the user screen shots doesn't have it...

yep. long press it then drag it to the bottom of the screen and trash it

You can do a Search by pressing the Search icon in the lower right of your screen anyway. A long press on the icon brings up Voice Search.

ho geez. what an idiot that i didn't think to do that !!!

i thought the search bar was some permanent interface.

no prob. there is a small learning curve for the droid. when in doubt long press it and see what happens
