Decrease Rooted Bionic Shutter Lag

The shutter lag on my Bionic is pretty horrible. Im looking forward to ICS or another ROM but I'm looking for a way to decrease it without going through all that at least for the time being. Any luck?

Try turning the flash to 'off' rather than 'auto'. In most cases the pictures turn out better and it reduces the shutter lag.

I installed the Voice Action app. Its camera function works great except you can only take one picture and then have to start over. That tells me that most of the problem is with the original software.

You can try a 3rd party app until ICS is released. Most of them speed up the shutter speed. I have CameraZOOM FX and it really improved the shutter speed.

Download the update. 5.7.893. Makes a big difference. Helps out with the data conection also.

If camera speed is an issue try "Fast Burst Camara." I don't understand why it hasn't surfaced sooner.
