"Death Vader"

I have a Motorola r 2 d 2 droid phone from Verizon And the battery dies all the time especially lately. I downloaded an app killer to help preserve my battery however I'm finding that it still dies fast. It died last night at 9 o'clock pm I fully charged it and it just died again on few minutes ago. Yes I have been using a few apps today and also talking on it, but isn't it to early for it to die again. It's only 1130 am! I just got off the phone in January. WTH?

So help me out here...ho long exactly is the battery lasting? You say you took charged it fully at 9pm, but its now dead at 11:30am? Am I reading this correctly?

If so, that means you got 14.5 hours out of the battery. How much exactly are you wanting? "Generally" speaking, anything over 12 hours on a "smart phone" is considered acceptable...at least in my mind...especially when you consider what all we can do with them now.

Having said that, below are my personal tops for battery life...YMMV...but feel free to give some or all of them a shot and see if your battery life improves...

1) Go into Settings--->Battery--->Nightime Saver Mode..this is actually IMO a better setting than Maximum Saver, at least on my Droid X.

2) Your e-mail accounts, do they sync on their own? What type of schedule? Sync only over WiFi or over 3G as well? Set them for WiFI Only if you are in a good WiFi area...extend the times out if you are mostly on 3G.

3) What type of signal reception do you have, Great, Good, Lousy or 2 Soup Cans and some String? If your signal reception is Low, your phone will work harder trying to stay connected and trying to bounce between stronger towers. If signal is really bad, but a free WiFi connection is available, switch the WiFi on and keep it on until you are in a better 3G area.

4) Do you have any Social Widgets, RSS Feed Widgets, Weather Widgets or any other Widgets/Apps that like to update themselves regularly? If so, what are the refresh times for each? Can you set them to only update on a Manual Push? If not, then set the frequency to the longest permissible time frame for your ease of use and lifestyle.

Thats basically all my "tricks" that I utilize to keep my Droid X going for upwards of 17-20 hours on any given day....I hope they might help you as well..."

Lol@ soup cans reference. Thank you so much for your help. I have it on night time mode but I think it's all of the updating my phone is doing I have an app killer as well

Well, again, this cant be stressed enough...Get Rid Of The Task Killer, aka, Battery Killing Useless Piece Of Software.....seriously, it is not needed!

As far as the Battery Mode...give all the settings a shot, but again, in my personal observance, Nightime is the best of the lot...it allows useabilty without extreme battery drain..:)

Hey you things to me that the 1tap cleaner and or the history eraser Annihilates your battery as well. What do I do

Thanks for the info I keep my phone on my time saver. I initially installed 1tap cleaner and history eraser because I cannot delete my search history on my twitter, youtube and vevo apps. I've tried everything but my history searches do not clear out...
