Data cutting off

Getting this popup and my phone is having trouble connecting to 3g or 4g. I have unlimited data plan anybody else seeing this.

Is there a data usage in your settings?

On my Nexus I can set a mobile data limit and warning.

Yes there was a data limit set close to where I was. I set it up to a little over 50GB and it's working now.

But it makes no sense B/C it was not enabled.
