Data connection better...

I probably should not say this but the past few days my data connection has been flawless... Its fantastic.... :icon_ lala::icon_ lala::icon_ lala:

I live on the fringe of 3g/4g and my Bionic is bone stock just as it was the day I bought it, never rooted or even installed the leaked OTA updates. I hope I am not the only person with this good fortune.

Yep me too. I posted a similar comment on the long Bionic data thread several days ago that it had been perfect. It hasn't changed since then either

I regret to say mine has been the opposite. It got so bad that I shut off 4g entirely (something I swore I wouldn't do) because 3g was better than nothing at all or dropping signal in the middle of an article or whatever. Ever since I shut off 4g and switched to CDMA only, it's been good.

I shoulda noted that I am running .893 and I don't have 4g in my area yet so I have cdma only selected.

It sure is painful to have other phones accessing things that the Droid can't when the data is lost or just completely not dependable. Especially when the Droid is clearly the better phone but it can't be properly established on it's throne.

Mine seems to be better. I'm getting at times 4Glte inside my house where I was getting no data before. But it's not consistent and we do live in a valley. Maybe Verizon is updating the towers nearby.

I've also mentioned it before but my data issues are all but a thing of the past. Fairly minor to begin with, but it hasn't gone out once in almost 3 weeks. I'll be going to a fringe area this weekend so I'm interested to see what happens there as that's usually where it goes out... Can't say I'm complaining, love this phone even more now.

Did the same thing and everything has been good for several days, until tonight lost 3G a few times tonight.

I wonder how much money this is costing Motorola in sales? I would have plunked down my money on a new Bionic weeks ago, if not for this issue. And I would have bought a new RAZR this week, if not for the same issue. By the time they fix this, the new Nexus will be available, and then Motorola may not get the sale. Of course... who knows what issues that phone may ship with?

OP jinxed us... there was a nationwide 4G outage yesterday evening... lol so those even without the problem got to experience our pain for a day :P

oh yes.. and for those wondering, my understanding is our data drop issue truly is something in how the phone interfaces with the new layer of 3G for the sim and 4G interface... whether that needs to be corrected on the phone or the network.. I don't think Verizon or Motorola is going to tell us either way cause they will just blame eachother. (the tech I spoke with last night actually had a light in his head and he gave me his direct email X_X not so smart on his part cause he had already read through my acct and complaints 2 months worth...)

I live in a 3g area and work in a 4g. Well last night lost 3G at around 6pm and did not get data back till I got in the 4g area at around 5am. Talk about frustration.
